Sausage Casserole with Borlotti Beans
This hearty sausage casserole is simple but very delicious. It’s big on flavour and can feed a hungry family without much effort. It has plenty of herbs, spices, charred peppers and beans. I love it with fresh bread for mopping. Treat the chilli as optional.
When it has cooked through and had been brought to the boil, I sometimes like to place it under the grill for a few minutes, coaxing the sausages up to the top before hand. This gives everything a wonderful caramelisation.
